Summer has felt like a slow and intentional whirlwind—full of depth, spaciousness, and the kind of expansive conversations that leave you changed. Much of it has unfolded inside the Manifesting container, with my attention slowly turning toward the Decloaking Intensivecoming up this fall.
I’ve also been pouring energy into the writing and design for the WEL-Systems® Institute, enjoying quiet days at home while my family is out, and rejoicing in my own rhythms. We even squeezed in a spontaneous camping trip, which felt like the perfect little reset. Here’s a glimpse from my summer:
because taking the leap pays off.
And now, onto something I’ve been thinking a lot about—why so many of us do all the “right” things… yet still feel stuck.
This piece is the first of a short series I’m writing on the invisible forces that shape our lives—and how to shift them. I hope it meets you at just the right moment.
Did you know that there are invisible forces shaping your life? Did you also know that you can break free of them in days, not years?
When I encountered WEL-Systems® in 2017, I was a very different person. I remember that internal state of frustration like it was yesterday – watching myself do the most self destructive things even though I knew how not-to. All I had to do is the right thing. Easier said than done, am I right?
Why is that, though? Why is the thing we know to be right for ourselves so hard to do?
For those of us who spent years trying to find a way to make doing the right thing stick, we know that it seems to not matter how much we read, or how many yoga classes we take, or how much plant “medicine” we ingest – somehow, we constantly find ourselves right back where we started – feeling an unexplainable ache of emptiness and disconnect that seems to be only be temporarily satisfied with some self-destructive tendency, or another.
Show of hands – have you build a life on the outside that looks good to anyone looking in but on the inside you feel like you’re collapsing in on yourself? If so, read on …
When I turned 18 years old, I began my journey inward. I found all kinds of modalities that helped me regulate my nervous system, to an extent. But there always came a point, no matter how much I “worked on myself”, that I still found myself stuck in the same patterns. I could feel myself shrinking in situations that demanded expansion. I could hear the stories of self-doubt lurking, even when I logically knew better. I questioned everything. Why did I still not trust myself, after everything I had done? Why did the same old survival strategies keep showing up, no matter how much effort I poured into changing them?
The world had no shortage of explanations. I was given diagnosis after diagnosis. Depression. Anxiety. Personality disorder. Bipolar tendencies. Thyroid issues. Gut issues. Trauma responses. Everyone had a theory, but none of it soothed the depleting ache of my existence. None of it touched what felt like something essential was missing.
But my life changed when I discovered the WEL-Systems body of knowledge and the process called Decloaking and Living Authentically. For the first time, I wasn’t asked to fix myself, or invited only to understand myself. Instead, I was shown how to integrate the truth I carried beneath the loud static through lived experience. I was guided to see what had been shaping me all along—not my thoughts, not my behavior, but the invisible internal context that was driving my life without my awareness.
This is what I want to explore with you today. The invisible forces that shape your life, the ones you were never taught to notice, the ones that keep you looping old patterns no matter how much you want to change. And more importantly, the process that allows you to finally see them… and choose differently.
If you’ve been feeling this too, this is exactly what we explore inside Decloaking—a five-day live experience designed to help you see what’s been shaping your life and reconnect to your body’s intelligence. Enrollment for October is now open.
Otherwise, next week I’ll share what most of us were never taught to notice: where these invisible forces come from and how they’re installed in the first place.Seeing it makes the difference —stay tuned.
With respect ...
P.S. - If this landed for you, I’d love if you forwarded it to a friend who might need it.
