Hi, Reader.

I just used Chat GPT to help me with my laptop and the outcome felt heavenly.

Every morning for a year, I’d open it and get ambushed by tabs: WhatsApp, Edge, apps I never use. This morning, I decided: ENOUGH! I will ask Lord Chat to help me figure this out, and he did.

Then I did what I was instructed to do and restarted my laptop.

No pop ups to close. No frustration of why is this freaking happening every time. The calm I felt was, I kid you not, serene! Peaceful. Ease-full. I look at what I want to intentionally open and I choose it.

Wow. What a difference that made!

Here’s where it gets personal

Immediately this got me thinking – how many unwanted ‘tabs’ do you open first thing in the morning as you wake up? What are the thoughts that you ‘battle’ to ‘close’ before you’ve even got out of bed? How would your life be different if you had a reliable and replicable process to engage to close the tabs and choose your thoughts intentionally?

If it makes such a difference with the laptop, I figure it makes an even bigger difference with your mind.

Here’s the kicker: most of what we call ‘hard’ or ‘just the way I am’ is actually cultural programming.

I don’t mean that in an unkind way; I mean ignorance of who we are is a function of our cultural conditioning (aka the beliefs that we hold which create our reality), not something being wrong with you.

If, for example, you don’t know how to program yourself to close the unnecessary tabs, you might think, like I did with my laptop, that’s just how things are for me. Maybe you go a step further and call it your “personality”. Or, more disempowering than that, your “genes”.

I’m here to tell you, through lived experience:
It. Is. NOT. True.

The quantum sciences have proven for over a century that our thoughts shape our reality. You know that, intuitively. And you know about the power of the placebo effect.

The placebo effect isn’t “woo” — it’s proof. One-third of people with depression improve just by believing they’re healing. And the opposite is true: a man was once told by a doctor he had three months to live. He died. But the autopsy revealed his cancer couldn’t explain it. He believed the diagnosis — and his body followed.

Why do you believe this happens?

That’s how powerful your mind is. So what if you could program it on purpose?

Your mind is powerful. When you understand the depth of its power, you trust the process of creation undeniably. But to get there – that’s hard work. Not because it’s unnatural, but because we are literally taught to never, ever go there.

To conceive of ourselves as powerful is a notion that many women discover, as it turns out, in their “third act”. In their Crone years. But why wait until you’re a crone to remember your power? From where I stand, that’s absolutely unnecessary.

You likely will, as most women past 50 often do, but why wait? Why not reclaim your birthright of power here and now? Why not model to your daughter what self-reclamation looks like? Why not model to your son what self-respect feels like?

Crone energy is not something reserved for women 50+; it’s an unapologetic state of being.

Right here. Right now.

You can begin to unsubscribe from mindsets that hold you captive to your current reality (which, if it works for you, you just keep on truckin’!).

You can begin to take ownership of your mind and how you think, not just what you think about.

You can begin to program yourself to calibrate for a different reality than what your history led you to believe is possible, or what your future promised (based on your history).

Here’s the best part: you don’t have to burn it all down.

You can – and must – create change safely. Meaning, you don’t have to change everything about your life to engage your power. You don’t have to leave your job or your husband. You don’t have to burn it all to the ground. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you take action. You don’t have to have all your ducks in order. You don’t have to unfreeze to move.

You simply need to trust that deeper inner you that says “it’s time”.

When you are ready, the right people will appear that can guide you through your journey. You cannot plan this, and you cannot know the final destination (as if there is one!) because your body cannot yet calibrate for outcome – but it can calibrate for the moment.

The nudge will be gentle, an invitation. The choice will be magnetic. Then all the stories will come up – the question becomes, what will you DO with that information?

It’s the simple changes in life that compound. You chip away at the concrete we call cultural conditioning and then, seemingly out of nowhere, the concrete falls apart and you’re left with the tenderness of what it means to be fully alive.

The process is not random, and it’s not chaotic. It will also not just happen by itself – it takes intentional effort on a moment-by-moment basis.

I'm curious: what are the first three thoughts you have first thing in the morning? If you don't know, intentionally listen in tomorrow morning.

Then, hit reply and let me know. I read, and respond, to every response.
